The crown braid is a braided hairstyle that is a moe point in ACG subcluture.
Introduction
Braided hair surrounding the head, like a crown.
Mostly used in formal occasions. It can also be seen in folk hairstyles in Eastern Europe.
It is a simplification of the Greek braid, with two strands of braided hair wrapped around the forehead and tied at the back. If the hair is not tied at the back, but it's braided half around the head like a hairband, it is called a katyusha braid.
