Introduction
The 'hime cut is a classical Japanese haircut, which got its name because it was popular among upper-class women in the Heian era.
The hime cut meets three basic requirements:
- Having long straight hair. Generally, the hair itself only needs to be long and straight, but it can be tied in a ponytail or braids.
- The bangs are cut at the height of the eyebrows, or slightly longer, or parted in the middle, and the length is enough to cover the forehead.
- The "hairpin" hanging in front of the temples should be cut to the chin level (it can also be left longer).
In short: long straight hair, flat bangs, long side bangs. But the hime cut usually emphasizes the long hair, that is, the last two requirements.
