The bolero is a type of outfit, and a moe point in ACG subculture.

Introduction

The bolero jacket, also known as simply bolero or shrug[1], is a knitted piece of clothing that is tailored and styled like a cardigan. Its sleeves are usually both long and short, and are usually worn by women. Usually, the area of this garment is smaller than that of a suit undershirt, however, the design is more elaborate than the scarves and shawls with similar shapes. Bolero jackets are usually worn over long-sleeved shirts, camisoles, and dresses.

Boleros tend to only cover a small part of the upper body, some boleros have even low-cut collars. Some other designs look like two sleeves hanging from the shoulders.

In English, boleros are usually known as shrugs, in English, Boleros refer to a type of jacket that is similar to a short pullover, except that it's made with more rigid fabric. Essentially, it is a short version of a jacket, more formal clothing. This costume is derived from the traje de luces of Spanish bullfighters, and traditional bolero jackets are secured with only one button.
