PSG-1 is a character from the SLG game Girls' Frontline developed by MicaTeam and published by SUNBORN Network Technology Co., Ltd. and its derivatives.

Historical basis
Allegedly, the development of PSG-1 was related to Munich massacre of 1972 Olympic Games. West German police thought that they need equip a kind of high precision semi-automatic sniper rifle to coped with some same events like this afterwards. Therefore, Heckler & Koch Researched and developed PSG-1 sniper rifle that year. The letter "PSG" is the abbreviation of "Präzisions schützen gewehr" ,and it means the high precision rifle.
The barrel of PSG-1 based on it of HK G3, but refited it to complete suspension. They thickened the barrel and reinforced the magazine to increase its rigidity in order to reduce the deformation when shooting to raise accuracy. It sounds very simple, but it was very effective actually. PSG-1 said that although the accuracy of 1MOA seems not perfect today, a little sniper rifle can achieve the accuracy of 1MOA of one hundred yards before material level substantially raising in eighties. PSG-1, the automatic rifle, which can reach the goal in that years was already amazing and extraordinary.
PSG-1 is a little heavier because of the thickened barrel. The effect of heavy barrel mainly is decreasing the vibration of the barrel when shooting. Its muzzle not installed the flame damper or muzzle brake because of the same reason. In fact, Most sniper rifle used the design like this in 1970s. They were all worried about that some devices on muzzle and changing the length of barrel would make a bad influence in bullets and capacity. In addition, there's a device to promote the gun just like M16's on the right of the magazine. It can make the noise abating when the gun is loading. However, the shell case can not be reloaded because of the longitudinal groove in the chamber of PSG-1(It is the common disease of G3). If the muffler must be used, it can not be loaded the subsonic bullet。
the handgrip of PSG-1 is what competition rifle used. The butt made of plastic and the baffle of cheek can be adjusted. Shooters can adjust them until they are comfortable. The force of the PSG-1's trigger are lighter than G3's, it is 1.5kg or 3.3 pounds almost. And it can be adjust as well.

Trivia
Sparsely sense of presence
There is the Springfield M1903 before and the SVD after. As the gun dropped at summer event 2016 E4, although the DPH is not too high, the firing rate is excellent. So she is not bad, even great as a whole. But her skill is sniper type, so she has an awkward location. After the summer event, most of players put her in the warehouse and just only in warehouse.(Actually, the Springfield M1903 has the same condition. But she has an exclusive buff, so she is treated better than PSG-1) Walk-on M4A1：Don't worry. Think about me.
As the first event of opening service, The difficulty of gaining her is relative high. But in the spring event 2017, she drops again. And this event made a large number of commanders finished the regret.
